Francis Kinglake Hoyer Millar1,2 
Francis Kinglake Hoyer Millar was born on 14 July 1919 at Willesden, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Robert Christian Hoyer Millar and Muriel Rosa Lillian Foster.3 He married, firstly, Betty Lindsay Macpherson, daughter of V. F. Macpherson, on 17 October 1947.1 He and Betty Lindsay Macpherson were divorced in 1956.1 He married, secondly, Pamela Mary Milne-Thomson, daughter of Brigadier Moray M. Milne-Thomson, on 30 January 1957.1 He died on 4 July 1993 at age 73 at Coulston, Wiltshire, England.1,2
He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 1 August 1942 in the Black Watch and Parachute Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War, when he was wounded and became a POW in 1944.3,2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1945.1 He was with the Foreign Office in 1949.1

Dame Evelyn Louisa Elizabeth Hoyer Millar usually went by her middle name of Elizabeth.2 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1952.1 She was with Voluntary Aid Detachment and in the Women’s Royal Naval Service during the Second World War in 1958.1 She was Director of thee Women’s Royal Naval Service and Aide-de-Camp to Queen Elizabeth II between 1958 and 1961.2 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1960.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Angus in 1968.1 She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Angus in 1971.1
