John Edmund Elliot and Amelia Casamaijor.1 He married, firstly, Helen Lowis, daughter of John Lowis, on 19 January 1855.1 He married, secondly, Katharine Mangles, daughter of Ross Donnelly Mangles and Harriet Newcome, on 23 November 1869.1 He died on 29 June 1889 at age 64.1
     He was with the Bengal Civil Service.1 He held the office of Member of the Council of India.1
