     F/Lt. Carl Raymond Davis was born on 30 July 1911.2 He was the son of Carl Raymond Davis and Clara May Wood.3,4 He married Katharine Anne Hope, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir John Augustus Hope of Craighall, 16th Bt. and Hon. Mary Bruce, on 29 April 1939.1 He died on 6 September 1940 at age 29, killed in action.3
     He fought in the Battle of Britain.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.)1 He lived at Beechwood House, Nettlebed, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Flying Lieutenant in the Auxiliary Air Force.1

     Carl Michael Davis was born on 24 June 1940.1 He was the son of F/Lt. Carl Raymond Davis and Katharine Anne Hope.2 He married, firstly, Carolyn Rachel White, daughter of John Campbell White, on 27 July 1963.1 He and Carolyn Rachel White were divorced in 1987.1 He married, secondly, Carolyn Jane Hall, daughter of Ernest Smith Hall, in 1987.2 He died on 15 September 2001 at age 61.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1
