     Major Frederick Yelverton Goring was born on 15 October 1893.1 He was the son of Sir Harry Yelverton Goring, 11th Bt. and Sarah Anne Hickin.1 He married Freda Margaret Ainsworth, daughter of Nigel Victor Ainsworth and Margaret Hornby Walker, on 8 April 1931.1 He died on 5 November 1938 at age 45.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded three times.1
