     Charles Goring, 2nd Earl of Norwich was born circa 1615.¹ He was the son of George Goring, 1st Earl of Norwich and Mary Neville.¹ He married Alice Leman, daughter of Robert Leman, before 7 January 1658/59.¹ He died on 3 March 1670/71.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royalist Army.¹ He fought in the Battle of Marston Moor in July 1644, where he was captured and then escaped.¹ He fought in the 2nd Battle of Newbury in October 1644.¹ He held the office of Captain of the Yeoman of the Guard.¹ He was Clerk of the Council of Wales in 1661.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Norwich [E., 1644] on 6 January 1662/63.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Goring of Hurstpierpoint, co. Sussex [E., 1628] on 6 January 1662/63.¹

     Alice Leman was the daughter of Robert Leman.¹ She married, firstly, Thomas Baker before 1658.¹ She married, secondly, Charles Goring, 2nd Earl of Norwich, son of George Goring, 1st Earl of Norwich and Mary Neville, before 7 January 1658/59.¹ She died circa 20 July 1680.¹ She was buried on 23 July 1680.¹
     From before 1658, her married name became Baker.¹ From before 7 January 1658/59, her married name became Goring.¹

     William F. Tong is the son of Daniel Tong.¹ He married Kirsty Araminta Jane Miller, daughter of Alan Keith McCulloch Miller and Caroline Janet Erskine.¹

     Thomas Baker married Alice Leman, daughter of Robert Leman, before 1658.¹ He died before 1658.¹
