He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Raymond, of Valentine House, co. Essex [G.B., 1774] on 6 September 1899.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Royal Dragoons.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Sussex in 1918.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and later Inspector of Remounts in 1918.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Sussex.2 He was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Agricultural Society for distinguished services to agriculture.2 He held the office of President of the Royal Agricultural Society in 1936.2

Anthony George Merrick Tryon, 3rd Baron Tryon was born on 26 May 1940.2 He was the son of Charles George Vivian Tryon, 2nd Baron Tryon and Etheldreda Josephine Burrell.3 He married Dale Elizabeth Harper, daughter of Henry Preston Barrington Harper, on 13 April 1973.2 He and Dale Elizabeth Harper were divorced on 5 November 1997.2 He died on 22 December 2018 at age 78.4
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1954.2 He was director of Lazard Brothers and Company Ltd between 1976 and 1983.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Tryon, of Durnford, co. Wilts [U.K., 1940] on 9 November 1976.3 He was chairman of English & Scottish Investors Ltd between 1977 and 1988.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry and Wessex Yeomanry.2 He was chairman of Swaine Adeney Briggs between 1991 and 1993.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Wiltshire in 1992.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 2001.2 He lived in 2003 at Forde Lodge, Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland.2

She was the daughter of Henry Preston Barrington Harper.2 She married Anthony George Merrick Tryon, 3rd Baron Tryon, son of Charles George Vivian Tryon, 2nd Baron Tryon and Etheldreda Josephine Burrell, on 13 April 1973.3 She and Anthony George Merrick Tryon, 3rd Baron Tryon were divorced on 5 November 1997.3 She died on 15 November 1997 at age 49 at King Edward VII Hospital, Westminster, London, England, from septicaemia.3,4
Dale Elizabeth Harper also went by the nick-name of Kanga.5 Her married name became Tryon. After her marriage, Dale Elizabeth Harper was styled as Baroness Tryon on 9 November 1976. She was founder of the fashion labels Kanga and The Dale Tryon Collection in 1983.4
