     Emma Patty Barclay was born circa 1833 at Mauritius.2 She was the daughter of Sir David William Barclay of Pierston, 10th Bt. and Elise Josephe de Rune.3 She married, firstly, Sir Henry Franks Frederic Johnson, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Henry Allen Johnson, 2nd Bt. and Charlotte Elizabeth Philipse, on 16 September 1851.1 She married, secondly, Sir Henry Turner Irving on 24 June 1884.1 She died on 5 February 1903.1
     From 16 September 1851, her married name became Johnson. From 24 June 1884, her married name became Irving.1
