     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He was Vice-Consul at Sivas between 1897 and 1898.¹ He was Vice-Consul at Van between 1898 and 1901.¹ He was Military Attache at Constantinople between 1901 and 1905.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1904.¹ He was British Staff Officer, Macedonian Gendarmerie in 1905.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1908 in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was Acting-Consul at Trebizond in 1908.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Catharine Maunsell was the daughter of George Meares Maunsell and Catherine Lloyd.² She married William Phibbs, son of Owen Phibbs, on 26 May 1840.¹ She died on 30 November 1903.¹

     William Phibbs was born in 1803.² He was the son of Owen Phibbs.² He married Catharine Maunsell, daughter of George Meares Maunsell and Catherine Lloyd, on 26 May 1840.¹ He died in December 1881.¹
     He lived at Lisheen, County Sligo, Ireland^G, Seafield.¹

     Anna Catherine Elizabeth Stopford was the daughter of Reverend William Stopford.¹ She married James Hunt on 12 June 1834.¹ She died on 8 March 1896.¹

     Mary Josepha Anne Stopford is the daughter of Reverend William Stopford.¹ She married George Meares Maunsell, son of Daniel Maunsell and Sarah Meares, on 15 October 1833.¹

     Margaret Cecil Clarke was born on 30 January 1917.¹ She married, secondly, R. E. Wallace at London, England^G.¹ She married, firstly, Major Edward Peter Godfrey Miller Mundy, son of Major Godfrey Edward Miller Mundy and Mollie Ethel Gertrude Buck, on 24 January 1941 at Chelsea Old Church, Chelsea, London, England^G.¹ She died in March 1986 at age 69 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹
     Her married name became Wallace.¹ From 24 January 1941, her married name became Miller Mundy.¹

     Martha Sophia Edith Maunsell was the daughter of Robert George Maunsell and Maria Minton.² She married Colonel William Stopford Maunsell, son of George Meares Maunsell and Mary Josepha Anne Stopford, in June 1867.² She died on 11 April 1907.¹

     Maria Elizabeth Sophia Edith Maunsell was the daughter of Colonel William Stopford Maunsell and Martha Sophia Edith Maunsell.² She died on 3 February 1951, unmarried.¹
