     Lt.-Col. George Joseph Stopford Maunsell was born on 25 August 1836.1 He was the son of George Meares Maunsell and Mary Josepha Anne Stopford.2 He married Anna Jane Enraght-Moony, daughter of Francis Mooney Enraght-Moony and Catherine Foot, on 9 August 1864.1 He died in 1905.1
     He was Adjutant Officer of the New Brunswick.1 He was Inspector of Infantry, Eastern Canada.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 15th Foot.1 He lived at New Brunswick, CanadaG.1
