     William Mackintosh, 1st of Borlum was the son of Lachlan ‘Mor’ Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan and Agnes Mackenzie.2 He married Beatrix Innes, daughter of Sir Robert Innes, 4th of Invermarkie and Jean Barclay, on 5 July 1595.1 He died in 1630.1
     He was Tutor for his nephew and Captain of the Clan with his brother, Malcolm.1 He was Benchar in Badenoch.1 He was ancestor of the Mackintoshes of Borlum.1

     Sir Robert Innes, 4th of Invermarkie was the son of Robert Innes, 3rd of Invermarkie and Margaret Innes.2 He married Jean Barclay, daughter of Walter Barclay of Towie Barclay.2 He died on 12 July 1595, executed for the murder of the Earl of Moray.2
     In 1591 one of the murderers of the Earl of Moray.2
