Lachlan ‘Mor’ Mackintosh, 16th of Mackintosh, 17th Chief of Clan Chattan1 
He held the position of 17th Chief of the Clan Chattan from in 1550.1 The forfeiture of 1550 was reversed in his favour.1 In 1560 he surrendered his lands into the hands of Mary, Queen of Scots and received a regrant of his lands in Lochaber and of the stewartry and bailiary of the whole Ldship of Lochaber.1

On 1 January 1574/75 on his father’s resignation, he obtained a charter from James VI of Glenroy, Glenlui, Moy Arracht and other lands.1 He lived at Torcastle, ScotlandG.1

Sir Lachlan Mackintosh, 17th of Mackintosh1 
He held the position of 18th Chief of the Clan Chattan from in 1610.1 He was imprisoned by the Earl of Moray in Edinburgh, but was soon released as he was in the favour of King James VI/I.1 He was appointed Knight in 1616.1 In 1616 He entered into a feud with Cameron of Lochiel, and the following year he invaded Lochaber and compelled Lochiel to surrender.1 In 1622 he obtained a sword from the Prince of Wales, and a letter from the King to prosecute Lochiel with fire and sword.1
