     Major North Ludlow Bernard was born on 15 April 1705.3 He was the son of Francis Bernard and Alice Ludlow.4,3 He married, firstly, Rose Echlin, daughter of John Echlin.3 He married, secondly, Mary FitzWilliam, daughter of Richard FitzWilliam, 5th Viscount FitzWilliam and Frances Shelley, on 4 September 1751.1 He died on 15 April 1768 at age 63.3
     He gained the rank of Major of Dragoons.3 He lived at Castle Bernard, Ballymodan, County Cork, IrelandG.5
