     Sir George William Gunning, 5th Bt. was born on 10 August 1828.¹ He was the son of Reverend Sir Henry John Gunning, 4th Bt. and Mary Catherine Cartwright.² He married Isabella Mary Frances Charlotte Chester-Master, daughter of Colonel William Chester-Master, on 15 May 1851.¹ He died on 21 October 1903 at age 75.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 4th Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Gunning, of Eltham, co. Kent [G.B., 1778] on 30 June 1885.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire.¹

     Colonel William Chester-Master is the son of Richard Master and Isabella Frances Egerton.
     He lived at The Abbey, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He lived at Knowle Park, Bristol, England^G.¹

     Isabella Mary Frances Charlotte Chester-Master was the daughter of Colonel William Chester-Master.² She married Sir George William Gunning, 5th Bt., son of Reverend Sir Henry John Gunning, 4th Bt. and Mary Catherine Cartwright, on 15 May 1851.¹ She died on 12 May 1910.¹
     From 15 May 1851, her married name became Gunning.

     Lt.-Col. Robert Henry Gunning was born on 17 July 1852.¹ He was the son of Sir George William Gunning, 5th Bt. and Isabella Mary Frances Charlotte Chester-Master.² He married Fanny Julia Dawkins, daughter of Clinton George Augustus Dawkins and Marianne Jane Robarts, on 31 July 1880.¹ He died on 20 October 1899 at age 47 at Talana, South Africa^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the Boer War in 1899.¹

     Sophie Irene Whittemore was born on 31 July 1886 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada^G.¹ She married William Werden Wilson.¹ She died on 20 January 1934 at age 47 at Clyffe Pypard, Wiltshire, England^G.¹
     Her married name became Wilson.¹

     Sir Frederick Digby Gunning, 6th Bt. was born on 13 November 1853.¹ He was the son of Sir George William Gunning, 5th Bt. and Isabella Mary Frances Charlotte Chester-Master.² He died on 21 July 1906 at age 52, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Gunning, of Eltham, co. Kent [G.B., 1778] on 21 October 1903.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire.¹

     Elisabeth Gräfin Henckel von Donnersmarck was born on 17 November 1929 at Naklo^G.¹ She is the daughter of Lazarus Graf Henckel von Donnersmarck and Franziska Gräfin und Elde Herrin von und zu Eltz gennant Faust von Stromberg.¹ She married Ernst Graf Waldstein-Wartenburg on 11 November 1954 at Baden, Kanton Aargau, Switzerland^G.¹
     She was given the name of Maria Wilhelmina Elisabeth Felicitas Gregoria at birth.¹ From 11 November 1954, her married name became Waldstein-Wartenburg.¹

     Ethel Beatrice Finch-Hatton was the daughter of William Robert Finch-Hatton and Agnes Graham Oxenden.² She married Brig.-Gen. Sir Charles Vere Gunning, 7th Bt., son of Sir George William Gunning, 5th Bt. and Isabella Mary Frances Charlotte Chester-Master, on 17 October 1888.¹ She died on 23 February 1958.¹
     From 17 October 1888, her married name became Gunning.

     Ernst Graf Waldstein-Wartenburg was born on 30 March 1925 at Hirschberg, Bohemia^G.¹ He married Elisabeth Gräfin Henckel von Donnersmarck, daughter of Lazarus Graf Henckel von Donnersmarck and Franziska Gräfin und Elde Herrin von und zu Eltz gennant Faust von Stromberg, on 11 November 1954 at Baden, Kanton Aargau, Switzerland^G.¹
