Sir Æneas Mackintosh of Mackintosh, 1st and last Bt.1 
He held the position of 23rd Chief of the Clan Mackintosh from in 1770.2 He held the position of 24th Chief of the Clan Chattan from in 1770.2 He raised a company for the 2nd Battalion of Fraser’s Highlanders, under Simon Fraser, son of Lord Lovat.2 He fought in the Battle of Brooklyn in 1776.2 He fought in the American War of Independence between 1776 and 1781.2 In 1781 when Lord Cornwallis surrendered, he was taken prisoner with his men, but released and returned to Scotland.2 In 1800 he built Moy Hall.2 He was created 1st Baronet Mackintosh [U.K.] on 30 December 1812.2 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct, and the remaining portions of the estates which had been entailed passed to his cousin and heir-male, Alexander.2
