     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Capel Berger lived at Far End, Travellers Lane, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Margaret Colquhoun Berger is the daughter of Capel Berger.² She married John Evelyn Gull, son of Sir William Cameron Gull, 2nd Bt. and Evelyn Louise Snagge, on 27 April 1957.¹
     From 27 April 1957, her married name became Gull.
