Sir Arthur Henry Grant of Monymusk, 9th Bt. was born on 24 April 1849.1 He was the son of Commander Arthur Grant and Eliza Coster.2 He married Mary Douglas, daughter of Captain Henry Sholto Douglas, on 10 October 1878.1 He died on 1 March 1917 at age 67.1
He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 27th Inniskillings.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Hampshire Yeomanry Cavalry.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Grant, of Monymusk and Cullen, Buchan [N.S., 1705] on 13 December 1887.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Highland Division, Royal Engineer.1

Mary Grant was the daughter of Sir Archibald Grant of Monymusk, 3rd Bt. and Mary Callender.2 She married Reverend Joseph Pickford Radcliffe, son of Sir Joseph Radcliffe, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Sunderland, on 19 September 1796.2 She died on 7 November 1834.1
