Sir Thomas Gibson of Keirhill, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir John Gibson of Pentland and Addistone and unknown wife (?)2 He married Jean Marjoribanks, daughter of Edward Marjoribanks and Agnes Murray, on 11 June 1701.1 He died in 1713.1
He purchased the estate of King’s Cramond, Midlothian in 1694.1 He purchased Keirhill in 1697.1 He sold the estate of King’s Cramond, Midlothian in 1697.1 He was created 1st Baronet Gibson, of Keirhill, Midlothian [Nova Scotia] on 31 December 1702, with remainder to his heirs male whatsoever.1
