     Christian Makgill was born on 16 March 1677.2 She was the daughter of Robert Makgill, 2nd Viscount of Oxfuird and Lady Henrietta Livingstone.2 She married William Maitland, son of Charles Maitland, 3rd Earl of Lauderdale and Elizabeth Lauder.1 She died in 1707.2
     Her married name became Maitland.1 She styled herself as Viscountess of Oxfuird in 1706.2

     Barbara Maitland was the daughter of Hon. Alexander Maitland.1 She married, firstly, Sir Edward Gibson of Keirhill, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Gibson of Keirhill, 1st Bt. and Jean Marjoribanks.1 She married, secondly, Helenus Halkerston of Rathillet.1 She died on 19 June 1782.1
     Her married name became Halkerston.1 Her married name became Gibson.1

     Sir Edward Gibson of Keirhill, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Gibson of Keirhill, 1st Bt. and Jean Marjoribanks.2 He married Barbara Maitland, daughter of Hon. Alexander Maitland.2 He died circa June 1727.1 He was buried on 2 June 1727.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Gibson, of Keirhill, Midlothian [N.S., 1702] in 1713.1 He purchased Kinnaird, Fife in 1726.1
