     Sir David Peter William Gibson-Craig-Carmichael of Riccarton, 8th/15th Bt. was born on 21 July 1946.1 He is the son of Sir Archibald Henry William Gibson-Craig-Carmichael of Riccarton, 7th/14th Bt. and Rosemary Anita Crew.2 He married Patricia Skarnic, daughter of Marcos Skarnic, in 1973.1
     He graduated from Queen’s University, Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaG, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He succeeded as the 15th Baronet Gibson, of Keirhill, Midlothian [N.S., 1702] on 1 December 1969.2 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Gibson-Craig, of Riccarton, Midlothian [U.K., 1831] on 1 December 1969.2

Sir Alexander Gibson, Lord Durie1

     Sir Alexander Gibson, Lord Durie was the son of George Gibson of Goldingstones and Elizabeth Airth.2 He married Margaret Craig, daughter of Sir Thomas Craig, 1st of Riccarton and Helen Heriot, on 14 January 1596.1 He died on 10 June 1644, with other issue.1
     He was Clerk of Session in 1594.1 He was appointed Knight in 1594.1 He held the office of Lord of Session in 1621.2 He was styled as Lord Durie [Scottish Law Lord] in 1621.2 He held the office of President of the Court of Session in 1642.2

     Sir Thomas Craig, 1st of Riccarton was born in 1538.2 He was the son of Robert Craig of Craigfintry and Katherine Bellenden.3 He married Helen Heriot, daughter of Robert Heriot of Lymphoy and Helen Swinton.3 He died on 26 February 1608.2
     He was a practising Advocate.3
