     Thomas Urquhart of Fischerie was born circa 1476.2 He was the son of Alexander Urchard and Mary Ogilvy.2 He married Hon. Helen Abernethy, daughter of James Abernethy, 3rd Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and unknown wife (?), circa 1506.3 He died in 1557.3
     He held the office of Hereditary Sheriff of Cromarty.2 He was also known as Thomas Urquhart of Ross and Cromartie.3 He had twenty-four other sons and five other daughters, with seven sons being killed at Battle of Pinkie 10 Sept 1547 (English defeat of Scots.)3
