Francis Walter Erskine was born on 9 January 1899.² He was the son of Walter John Francis Erskine, 14th Earl of Kellie and Lady Susan Violet Ashley-Cooper.² He married Phyllis Burstall, daughter of John Francis Burstall, on 24 September 1925.² He died on 20 September 1972 at age 73.³

     Phyllis Burstall was the daughter of John Francis Burstall.¹ She married Captain Hon. Francis Walter Erskine, son of Walter John Francis Erskine, 14th Earl of Kellie and Lady Susan Violet Ashley-Cooper, on 24 September 1925.¹ She died on 29 September 1974.¹
     Her married name became Erskine.

     Robin Francis Erskine was born on 26 August 1929.¹ He was the son of Captain Hon. Francis Walter Erskine and Phyllis Burstall.¹ He died on 18 October 1929.¹

Francis Walter Erskine and Phyllis Burstall.^1,2 She married Mark Alastair Coats, son of Thomas Heywood Coats and Olivia Violet Pitman, on 27 November 1947.¹ She and Mark Alastair Coats were divorced in 1974.²
     Rosemary Susan Erskine usually went by her middle name of Susan.² From 27 November 1947, her married name became Coats.¹

     Mark Alastair Coats was born on 13 February 1927.¹ He was the son of Thomas Heywood Coats and Olivia Violet Pitman.¹ He married Rosemary Susan Erskine, daughter of Captain Hon. Francis Walter Erskine and Phyllis Burstall, on 27 November 1947.¹ He and Rosemary Susan Erskine were divorced in 1974.² He died in 1996.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards.²

     Thomas Heywood Coats was born on 23 October 1889.¹ He was the son of William Allan Coats and Agnes Bunten Muir.¹ He married Olivia Violet Pitman, daughter of Hon. Lord unknown Pitman, before 1921.¹ He and Olivia Violet Pitman were divorced in 1931.¹ He died on 20 December 1958 at age 69.¹
