     John Scott is the son of Michael Scott and unknown wife (?)1
     Ancestor of the SCOTTS OF SINTON. 6th in the Buccleugh genealogy, and ancestor of the Scotts of Sinton, Harden, Whitslaid, Toderick, Raeburn, Woll, Thirlestane etc.
Note: There is no documentary proof to substantiate the commonly accepted genealogy from John, son of Sir Michael Scott of Murdiestoun to Robert Scott of Sinton (1509). Sinton was not owned by the Scotts during the 14th and part of the 15th centuries.1

Houles is the daughter of Louis Joseph Houles.1 She married, firstly, Brian Hughes before 1961.1 She married, secondly, Derek Hugh Tremenheere Dowding, 2nd Baron Dowding, son of Air Chief Marshal Hugh Caswall Tremenheere Dowding, 1st Baron Dowding and Clarice Maud Williams, on 17 December 1961.1
     From before 1961, her married name became Hughes.1 From 17 December 1961, her married name became Dowding.1 She lived in 2003 at 501 Gilbert House, Barbican, London, EnglandG.2

     Robert Scott was the son of Walter Scott and unknown wife (?)1 He died in 1426.1
     Succeeded his father Sir Walter and exchanged Glenkerry for the lands of Bellanden in 1415. He acquired half the lands of Branxholm from John Inglis of Manor in 1420.1
