Air Chief Marshal Hugh Caswall Tremenheere Dowding, 1st Baron Dowding was born on 24 April 1882.1 He was the son of Arthur John Caswall Dowding and Maud Caroline Tremenheere.5 He married, firstly, Clarice Maud Williams, daughter of Captain John Williams, on 16 February 1918.1 He married, secondly, Muriel Albino, daughter of John Angelo Albino and Hilda Gertrude Barnes, on 25 September 1951 at Caxton Hall, London, EnglandG.1,3 He died on 15 February 1970 at age 87 at 1 Calverley Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, EnglandG.1,3 He was buried at Battle of Britain Chapel, Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.3
