John Frederick La Trobe-Bateman1 

John Frederick La Trobe-Bateman was born on 30 May 1810 at Lower Wyke, Birstall, Yorkshire, EnglandG.3,4 He was the son of John Frederick Bateman and Mary Agnes La Trobe.4 He married Anne Fairbairn, daughter of Sir William Fairbairn, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Mar, on 1 September 1841.1 He died on 10 June 1889 at age 79 at Moor Park, Farnham, Hampshire, EnglandG.4
He was given the name of John Frederick Bateman at birth.5 He was a civil engineer.5 He lived in 1881 at St. Margaret, London, EnglandG.3,4 In 1883 his name was legally changed to John Frederick La Trobe-Bateman.5 He wrote the book History and Description of the Manchester Waterworks, published 1884.5 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He lived at Moor Park, Surrey, EnglandG.1
