     William Warry Elton was born on 27 November 1813.¹ He was the son of Henry Elton and Anne Wedlake.² He married Mary Notley, daughter of James Thomas Benedictus Notley, on 7 April 1859.¹ He died on 4 January 1906 at age 92.¹

     Lt.-Col. William Marwood-Elton was born on 31 March 1865.¹ He was the son of William Warry Elton and Mary Notley.² He married Juliet Marriott, daughter of Robert Spelman Marriott, in August 1909.¹ He died on 14 October 1931 at age 66.¹
     He was given the name of William Elton at birth.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹ On 11 June 1910 his name was legally changed to William Marwood-Elton by Royal Licence.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 3rd Battalion, Welsh Regiment.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.¹ He lived at Widworthy Court, Honiton, Devon, England^G.¹

     Juliet Marriott was the daughter of Robert Spelman Marriott.¹ She married Lt.-Col. William Marwood-Elton, son of William Warry Elton and Mary Notley, in August 1909.¹ She died on 23 February 1964.¹
     From August 1909, her married name became Elton.

     G/Capt. Nigel William David Marwood-Elton was born on 22 August 1911.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Marwood-Elton and Juliet Marriott.² He married Daphne Richards, daughter of Gordon Richards, on 22 December 1952.¹ He died in October 1995 at age 84 at Bodmin, Cornwall, England.³
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice and became a POW.¹ He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.)¹

     Gordon Richards lived at Chiltern Court, London, England^G.¹ He lived at Kintbury, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Daphne Richards is the daughter of Gordon Richards.² She married, secondly, G/Capt. Nigel William David Marwood-Elton, son of Lt.-Col. William Marwood-Elton and Juliet Marriott, on 22 December 1952.¹
     Her married name became Lee.¹ From 22 December 1952, her married name became Marwood-Elton.
