     Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 2nd Bt. and Janet Young.² He married Jacobina Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton of Newton, on 31 October 1760.¹ He died on 16 April 1782.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dunbar, of Mochrum, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1694] in October 1747.¹ He held the office of Judge-Advocate of Scotland in 1768.¹

     Jacobina Hamilton was the daughter of John Hamilton of Newton.² She married Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 3rd Bt., son of Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 2nd Bt. and Janet Young, on 31 October 1760.¹ She died on 29 January 1792.¹

     Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 3rd Bt. and Jacobina Hamilton.² He married Maria Hamilton, daughter of Reverend Gustavus Hamilton.¹ He died on 15 October 1799, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 14th Light Dragoons.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dunbar, of Mochrum, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1694] on 16 April 1782.¹

     Reverend Gustavus Hamilton is the son of Hon. Gustavus Hamilton.²

     Maria Hamilton was the daughter of Reverend Gustavus Hamilton.² She married Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 4th Bt., son of Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 3rd Bt. and Jacobina Hamilton.¹ She died on 31 August 1808.¹
     Her married name became Dunbar.¹

     Helen Dunbar is the daughter of Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 3rd Bt. and Jacobina Hamilton.² She married William Copland of Colliston.¹
     Her married name became Copland.

     William Copland of Colliston married Helen Dunbar, daughter of Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 3rd Bt. and Jacobina Hamilton.¹

     Thomas Dunbar is the son of Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 2nd Bt. and Janet Young.² He married Tryphena Pincock, daughter of J. Pincock, in 1748.¹
     He lived at Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Tryphena Pincock is the daughter of J. Pincock.² She married Thomas Dunbar, son of Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 2nd Bt. and Janet Young, in 1748.¹
     She lived at London, England^G.¹ From 1748, her married name became Dunbar.
