     Sir William Gerald Seymour Vesey-FitzGerald was born on 8 April 1841. He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir William Robert Seymour Vesey-FitzGerald and Maria Tryphena Seymour.^2,1 He married Jane Margaret Matilda Macdonald Lockhart, daughter of Sir Norman Macdonald Lockhart, 21st of the Lee and 8th of Carnwath, 3rd Bt. and Margaret McLean, on 23 September 1862.¹ He died on 10 May 1910 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1865 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He was Private Secretary to the Governor of Bombay between 1867 and 1872.¹ He was Political Aide-de-Camp to the Secretary of State for India between 1874 and 1910.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1887.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1887.¹

     Geraldine Tryphena Margaret Vesey-FitzGerald is the daughter of Sir William Gerald Seymour Vesey-FitzGerald and Jane Margaret Matilda Macdonald Lockhart.^2,1

     Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir William Robert Seymour Vesey-FitzGerald and Maria Tryphena Seymour.^3,1 She married Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate, son of George Macartney and Ellen Filgate, in 1862.¹ She died in October 1918.¹
     From 1862, her married name became Macartney-Filgate.

     Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate was born in January 1841.² He was the son of George Macartney and Ellen Filgate.² He married Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir William Robert Seymour Vesey-FitzGerald and Maria Tryphena Seymour, in 1862.¹ He died on 30 December 1906 at age 65.²
     He was given the name of Townley Patten Hume Macartney at birth.² He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.² On 4 June 1862 his name was legally changed to Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate by Royal Licence.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 18th Hussars and Scots Greys.² He was Inspector-General of Gaols and Registration, Bombay Presidency.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Lowtherstone, County Dublin, Ireland^G.²

     Amanda Robertson Astley Ball is the daughter of Geoffrey Robertson Ball.¹ She married Archer Anthony de Haan, son of Albertus Jacobus de Haan and Lady Gillian Mary Windsor-Clive, in 1975.¹ She and Archer Anthony de Haan were divorced in 1984.¹
     From 1975, her married name became de Haan.¹

     Laura Emma Mary Robertson de Haan was born in 1979.¹ She is the daughter of Archer Anthony de Haan and Amanda Robertson Astley Ball.¹

     Tudor Archer Adrian Forsyth was born in 2009.¹ He is the son of Torcail Gaunt Forsyth and Laura Emma Mary Robertson de Haan.¹

     Hon. Letitia Vesey-FitzGerald was born in 1828.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Henry Vesey-Fitzgerald, 3rd Baron Fitzgerald and Vesci and Elizabeth O’Grady.^2,1 She died on 29 October 1904, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald was born in 1828.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Henry Vesey-Fitzgerald, 3rd Baron Fitzgerald and Vesci and Elizabeth O’Grady.^2,1 She died on 3 November 1856, unmarried.¹
