     Dermot Lowther Noel Macartney-Filgate was born on 25 December 1880.¹ He was the son of Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate and Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald.² He married Aphra Jane Bennett, daughter of John Bennett, on 8 September 1932.¹ He died on 17 March 1957 at age 76.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Irish Regiment and Royal Engineers.¹ He was with the Gold Coast Civil Service.¹

     John Bennett lived at Kingstown, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Aphra Jane Bennett was the daughter of John Bennett.² She married Dermot Lowther Noel Macartney-Filgate, son of Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate and Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald, on 8 September 1932.¹ She died in February 1935.¹
     From 8 September 1932, her married name became Macartney-Filgate.

     Eleanor Aphra Margaret Macartney-Filgate was born on 15 January 1934.¹ She is the daughter of Dermot Lowther Noel Macartney-Filgate and Aphra Jane Bennett.²
     She lived in 1976 at 48 Belworth Court, Belworth Drive, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Aphra Vivienne Noel Macartney-Filgate was born on 24 November 1934.¹ She is the daughter of Dermot Lowther Noel Macartney-Filgate and Aphra Jane Bennett.² She married Colin Blacklock Maclaren, son of Owen Finlay Maclaren and Marie Blacklock, on 15 June 1963.¹
     From 15 June 1963, her married name became Maclaren.

     Owen Finlay Maclaren was born in 1907.² He was the son of Andrew Liddell Maclaren and Eva Friend.² He married Marie Blacklock.² He died on 13 April 1978.²
     He was educated at Blair Lodge Academy, Brightons, Polmont, Stirlingshire, Scotland.² He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² He was founder of Maclaren Ltd, baby buggy manufacturers.² He lived at Arnold House, Barby, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in January 1978.²

     Colin Blacklock Maclaren is the son of Owen Finlay Maclaren and Marie Blacklock.^2,3 He married Aphra Vivienne Noel Macartney-Filgate, daughter of Dermot Lowther Noel Macartney-Filgate and Aphra Jane Bennett, on 15 June 1963.¹
     He lived in 1976 at Hatfield Cottage, Hatfield Peverel, Essex, England^G.¹

     John Dermot Colin Maclaren was born on 9 March 1965.¹ He is the son of Colin Blacklock Maclaren and Aphra Vivienne Noel Macartney-Filgate.²

     Alexander Helen Aphra Maclaren was born on 16 April 1968.¹ She is the daughter of Colin Blacklock Maclaren and Aphra Vivienne Noel Macartney-Filgate.²

     Mabel Margaret Tryphena Macartney-Filgate was born on 28 April 1866.¹ She was the daughter of Townley Patten Hume Macartney-Filgate and Tryphena Elizabeth Vesey-FitzGerald.² She married Carthanach George Macartney, son of George Travers Macartney, on 20 August 1890.¹ She died on 26 December 1945 at age 79.¹
     From 20 August 1890, her married name became Macartney.
