John Dobbs1

     John Dobbs was the son of Sir Richard Dobbs.2 He married Margaret Dalway, daughter of John Dalway and unknown daughter O’Neill, in 1603.1 He died in 1622, drowned when returning from England.1
     He established the family in Ireland.1 In 1596 he accompanied Sir Henry Dockwra to Carrickfergus.1 He was Deputy Treasurer for Ulster after 1596.1
