     Barry Domvile was born on 8 January 1917.¹ He was the son of Admiral Sir Barry Edward Domvile and Alexandrina von der Heydt.² He died in June 1941 at age 24 at Crete, Greece^G, killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹
