     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Field Artillery.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)²

     Georgiana Isabella Frances Domvile was born on 25 May 1888.¹ She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Compton Edward Domvile and Isabella Peel.^2,3 She married Lt.-Col. Dudley George Blois, son of Sir John Ralph Blois, 8th Bt. and Eliza Ellen Chapman, on 28 July 1914.² She died on 23 December 1967 at age 79.²
     From 28 July 1914, her married name became Blois.²
