     Christopher Charles Steel was born on 31 December 1938.^2,3 He was the son of Brigadier Charles Deane Steel and Elizabeth Chenevix Trench.¹ He married Anthea Victoria Wilson, daughter of Colonel Edward Thirlwell Wilson, on 31 July 1963 at St. Michael’s Church, Chester Square, London, England^G.¹ He died on 31 December 1991 at age 53.³
     He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Lewis Thomas Watson, 2nd Baron Sondes was born on 18 April 1754.² He was the son of Lewis Watson, 1st Baron Sondes and Grace Pelham.² He married Mary Elizabeth Milles, daughter of Richard Milles, on 30 November 1785.² He died on 20 June 1806 at age 52.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Sondes, of Lees Court, co. Kent [G.B., 1760] on 30 March 1795.¹

     Richard Milles lived at North Elmham, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Lewis Richard Watson, 3rd Baron Sondes was born on 24 May 1792.¹ He was the son of Lewis Thomas Watson, 2nd Baron Sondes and Mary Elizabeth Milles.² He died on 14 March 1836 at age 43, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Sondes, of Lees Court, co. Kent [G.B., 1760] on 20 June 1806.¹

     Edward Montagu Stopford was born on 29 January 1872.¹ He was the son of Captain Walter James Stopford and Annette Jane Stopford.¹ He married Lydia Lawrence, daughter of Henry Craddock and Rhoda Holloway, on 3 June 1903.¹ He died on 27 March 1911 at age 39.¹

     Lydia Lawrence was born on 24 March 1867 at 2 Park Grove, Battersea, Surrey, England^G.² She was the daughter of Henry Craddock and Rhoda Holloway.² She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Wilbraham Evors Evelyn Morley, son of Arthur Thomas Morley and Louisa Evelyn Liardet, on 5 March 1890 at Registrar Office, St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.^1,2 She married, secondly, Edward Montagu Stopford, son of Captain Walter James Stopford and Annette Jane Stopford, on 3 June 1903.¹
     From 5 March 1890, her married name became Morley.¹ Her married name became Stopford. She emigrated to Australia^G arriving on 1913.²

     Anthea Victoria Wilson was born on 14 August 1941.² She is the daughter of Colonel Edward Thirlwell Wilson.¹ She married Christopher Charles Steel, son of Brigadier Charles Deane Steel and Elizabeth Chenevix Trench, on 31 July 1963 at St. Michael’s Church, Chester Square, London, England^G.¹
     From 31 July 1963, her married name became Steel.¹ She lived in 1999 at Bullens, Bradfield College, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Captain Cyril Montagu Stopford was born on 4 June 1874.¹ He was the son of Captain Walter James Stopford and Annette Jane Stopford.¹ He died on 18 June 1936 at age 62.¹
     He held the office of Page of Honour to HM Queen Victoria.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Queen’s Westminster Rifles.¹

     Horatia Winifred Stopford was the daughter of Captain Walter James Stopford and Annette Jane Stopford.¹ She married Edward Constable Curtis, son of Captain Constable Curtis and Henrietta Mary Anne Curtis, on 12 January 1898.¹ She died on 10 March 1914.¹
     Her married name became Curtis.

     Edward Constable Curtis was the son of Captain Constable Curtis and Henrietta Mary Anne Curtis.¹ He married Horatia Winifred Stopford, daughter of Captain Walter James Stopford and Annette Jane Stopford, on 12 January 1898.¹ He died on 13 February 1947.¹
