     Julian Ogilvie Thompson was born on 27 January 1934.² He was the son of Newton Ogilvie Thompson.¹ He married Hon. Tessa Mary Brand, daughter of Thomas Henry Brand, 4th Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Leila Emily Seely, on 24 July 1956.¹ He died on 11 August 2023 at age 89.²
     He was chairman of De Beers in 1985.² He was chairman of Anglo American in 1990.²

     Lt.-Col. David Francis Brand, 5th Viscount Hampden of Glynde was born on 14 June 1902.² He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Thomas Walter Brand, 3rd Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Lady Katharine Mary Montagu Douglas Scott.¹ He married Hon. Imogen Alice Rhys, daughter of Walter FitzUryan Rhys, 7th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Lady Margaret Child-Villiers, on 14 July 1936.² He died on 4 September 1975 at age 73.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Hertfordshire Regiment.² He gained the rank of Deputy Assistant Adjutant & Quartermaster-General in the Madagascar.² He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Hampden of Glynde, co. Sussex [U.K., 1884] on 17 October 1965.¹

     Hon. Imogen Alice Rhys was born on 27 August 1903.² She was the daughter of Walter FitzUryan Rhys, 7th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Lady Margaret Child-Villiers.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. David Francis Brand, 5th Viscount Hampden of Glynde, son of Brig.-Gen. Thomas Walter Brand, 3rd Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Lady Katharine Mary Montagu Douglas Scott, on 14 July 1936.¹ She died before 23 March 2001.¹
     Hon. Imogen Alice Rhys usually went by her middle name of Alice.¹ Her married name became Brand. After her marriage, Hon. Imogen Alice Rhys was styled as Viscountess Hampden of Glynde on 17 October 1965.
