     He was educated at St. Columba’s College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.¹ He was Adjutant of the 5th Royal Munster Fusiliers (co Limerick Regiment) between 1901 and 1906.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre Belgian.¹ He was awarded the Order of Leopold of Belgium.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the South Staffordshire Regiment.¹

     Edward Stewart married Mary Eva Louisa Stacpoole, daughter of Richard Stacpoole and Alice Julia Westropp, in 1890.¹

     Geraldine Norah Isabella Crowe was born on 28 February 1874.² She was the daughter of Robert Hume Crowe and Geraldine Sophia Foster-Vesey-Fitzgerald.³ She married Richard John Stacpoole, son of Richard Stacpoole and Alice Julia Westropp, on 19 July 1894.¹ She died on 13 March 1955 at age 81.¹
     From 19 July 1894, her married name became Stacpoole.

     Lt.-Col. Richard Hassard Stacpoole was born on 8 March 1896.¹ He was the son of Richard John Stacpoole and Geraldine Norah Isabella Crowe.² He married Helen Muriel Clare Morphy, daughter of Richard Lionel Morphy, on 2 July 1929.¹ He died on 10 March 1973 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹
