     Ethel Isobel Virginia Noble was the daughter of Sir Andrew Noble of Ardmore, 1st Bt. and Margery Durham Campbell.² She married Alfred Henry John Cochrane, son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson, on 25 July 1895.¹ She died on 9 January 1961.¹
     From 25 July 1895, her married name became Cochrane. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Robert Vincent Cecil Cochrane was born on 6 May 1868.¹ He was the son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson.² He died on 2 February 1869.¹

     Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane was born on 27 April 1872.¹ He was the son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson.² He married Margaret Peregrina Ilbert, daughter of Sir Courtenay Ilbert, on 15 May 1907.¹ He died on 11 January 1954 at age 81.¹
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Rouge Croix Pursuivant between 1904 and 1915.¹ He held the office of Chester Herald between 1915 and 1926.¹ He held the office of Registrar of the College of Arms between 1919 and 1928.¹ He held the office of Norroy King of Arms between 1926 and 1928.¹ He held the office of Clarenceux King of Arms in 1928.¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1931.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1937.¹

     Sir Courtenay Ilbert was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He held the office of Clerk of the House of Commons.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)¹

     Margaret Peregrina Ilbert was the daughter of Sir Courtenay Ilbert.² She married Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane, son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson, on 15 May 1907.¹ She died on 2 September 1952.¹
     From 15 May 1907, her married name became Cochrane.

     David Crawford Cochrane was born on 28 August 1909.¹ He was the son of Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane and Margaret Peregrina Ilbert.² He died on 2 April 1931 at age 21, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Francis Alfred Arthur Cochrane was born on 21 March 1912.¹ He was the son of Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane and Margaret Peregrina Ilbert.² He died on 26 December 1942 at age 30, from wounds received in action.¹
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Lesbia Margaret Cochrane was born on 31 May 1908.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane and Margaret Peregrina Ilbert.² She married Sir Alfred John Digby Winnifrith, son of Reverend Bertram Thomas Winnifrith, on 14 June 1935.¹
     She was educated at Tonbridge School, Tonbridge, Kent, England^G.¹

     Reverend Bertram Thomas Winnifrith was the Rector at Ightham, Kent, England^G.¹

     Sir Alfred John Digby Winnifrith is the son of Reverend Bertram Thomas Winnifrith.³ He married Lesbia Margaret Cochrane, daughter of Sir Arthur William Stewart Cochrane and Margaret Peregrina Ilbert, on 14 June 1935.¹
     He was Director-General of the National Trust.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was member of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution.¹ Sir Alfred John Digby Winnifrith usually went by his middle name of John.¹ He lived in 1976 at Hall House Farm, Appledore, Kent, England^G.¹
