     Reverend Richard Chaloner Cobbe was born circa 1727.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Richard Chaloner Cobbe and Mary Godolphin.3 He married Ann Ferne circa 1754 at St. Michael’s Church, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He died in 1767.2
     He was Chaplain to Most Rev. Charles Cobbe (his uncle.)2 He was the Rector at Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1797 in the Royal Navy.1

     He was educated between 1793 and 1800 at Christ’s Hospital, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Master in the Royal Navy.1 He was also known as William Marshall Godolphin Cobbe.1
