Roger David Casement1 
He was educated at Ballymena Academy, IrelandG.1 He was Travelling Commissioner of the Niger Coast Protectorate between 1892 and 1895.1 He was HM Consul to Lourenço Marques between 1895 and 1898.1 He was HM Consul to St. Paul de Loanda between 1898 and 1900.1 He was HM Consul to Kinshasa, Congo State between 1900 and 1906.1 He was noted for two famous reports on rubber in Congo Free State and Brazil.1 In 1903 his damning report on the trade in Congo led to its extinction in 1908.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) between 1905 and 1915.1 He was HM Consul to Santo in 1906.1 He was HM Consul to Pará between 1907 and 1908.1 Between 1909 and 1910 when attached to the Commission of Investigation into affairs of Peruvian Amazon Company, his revelations about the Company’s maltreatment of Indians in their rubber workings along Putumayo River led to his report being published as a Blue Book (1912) and the setting up of a Parliamentary Select Committee.1 He was Consul-General to Rio de Janeiro between 1909 and 1913.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor between 1911 and 1916.1 In 1913 member of the Government Committee of Irish National Volunteers (created to oppose Ulster force.)1 In 1916 he sought German aid to effect Irish Independence and travelled widely in Germany in this cause.1 On 24 April 1916 arrested by the British in the capture of the German vessel The Aud bringing arms to Ireland.1 On 9 June 1916 he was sentenced to death.2

Agnes Jane Casement also went by the nick-name of Nina.3 From 26 October 1887, her married name became Newman.2 She emigrated to U.S.A.G arriving on 1915.2
