     Edward D’Alton de Montmorency was born on 3 February 1782.¹ He was the son of Reverend Reymond Morres and Mary Eyre D’Alton.² He married Mary Anne Peat, daughter of John Peat, on 7 April 1802.¹ He died on 28 November 1843 at age 61.¹
     He was given the name of Edward D’Alton Morres at birth. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹
