     Catherine Reid is the daughter of Alexander Reid.¹ She married Commander Godfrey Brereton, son of Lt.-Col. William Brereton and Mary Charlotte Lill, on 2 August 1853.¹
     From 2 August 1853, her married name became Brereton.¹

     Sir Robert Hartpole married Mary Brereton, daughter of Andrew Brereton and Catherine FitzSimon.¹ He died in 1594.¹
     He held the office of Governor of Leix.¹ He lived at Shrule, County Carlow, Ireland^G.¹

     Jane Brereton is the daughter of Andrew Brereton and Catherine FitzSimon.² She married, firstly, Sir Richard Nugent, son of Sir Garrett Nugent and Margaret Cheevers.¹ She married, secondly, Hon. Christopher Barnewall, son of Robert Barnewall, 7th Baron Trimlestown and Genet Talbot, in July 1621.¹ She married, thirdly, Gilbert Nugent after 1622.¹
     Her married name became Nugent. From July 1621, her married name became Barnewall. From after 1622, her married name became Nugent.

     Sir Richard Nugent was born before 1575. He was the son of Sir Garrett Nugent and Margaret Cheevers. He married Jane Brereton, daughter of Andrew Brereton and Catherine FitzSimon.¹ He died in 1620.
     He lived at Ballybranagh, County Westmeath, Ireland^G.¹

     Alexander Reid lived at Valetta Lodge, Kingstown, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Robert Barnewall, 7th Baron Trimlestown was the son of Peter Barnewall, 6th Baron Trimlestown and Katherine Nugent.² He married Genet Talbot, daughter of Thomas Talbot, before 1594.² He died on 13 December 1639.²
     He succeeded as the 7th Baron Trimlestown, of Trimlestown, co. Meath [I., 1461] on 14 April 1598.² In 1634 his dispute with 9th Baron of Dunsany over precedence was settled in his favour.²

     Hon. Christopher Barnewall was born circa 1595.² He was the son of Robert Barnewall, 7th Baron Trimlestown and Genet Talbot.^3,4 He married, firstly, Elizabeth FitzGerald, daughter of Sir Edward FitzGerald, before 1614.² He married, secondly, Jane Brereton, daughter of Andrew Brereton and Catherine FitzSimon, in July 1621.¹ He died on 8 May 1622.²

     Honoria Dwarris is the daughter of Colonel Thomas Dwarris.¹ She married Robert Brereton, son of William Brereton and Alice Norcott, in 1760.¹
     From 1760, her married name became Brereton.¹
