     Neville Samuel Townsend was born on 17 April 1951.¹ He is the son of Philip Cambai Townsend and Mary Hermia Ellison.²

     Reverend Ernest Horace Townsend was born on 9 January 1865.¹ He was the son of Vice-Admiral Samuel Philip Townsend and Emma Maria Bridges.² He died on 13 March 1947 at age 82, unmarried.¹

Letitia Anne Margaret Barnewall, daughter of Charles Aloysius Barnewall, 18th Baron Trimlestown and Margaret Theresa Stephens, on 11 June 1919.¹ He married, secondly, Muriel Amy Denton, daughter of H. Denton, on 28 April 1946.¹ He died on 27 January 1956.¹
     He was educated at United Services College, Westward Ho!, Devon, England^G.¹ He lived at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Egyptian Army.¹ He was with the Sudan Government.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the East Surrey Regiment.¹ He lived at Ewell, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Charles Percy Page was born in 1879 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.² He was the son of John William Page and Mary Walton.² He married Eileen Cecilia May Wetherell, daughter of Colonel Robert May Wetherell and Eileen Mary MacDonough, before 1923.¹ He died on 8 November 1923.¹ He was buried on 8 November 1923 at Rawalpindi, India.³
     He was manager of British American Tobacco India between 1906 and 1923 at Calcutta, India.³

Letitia Anne Margaret Barnewall was born on 23 September 1895.² She was the daughter of Charles Aloysius Barnewall, 18th Baron Trimlestown and Margaret Theresa Stephens.^3,2 She married Lt.-Col. Cuthbert Hanson Townsend, son of Vice-Admiral Samuel Philip Townsend and Emma Maria Bridges, on 11 June 1919.¹ She died on 5 May 1938 at age 42.¹
     From 11 June 1919, her married name became Townsend.¹

     Reginald Philip Townsend was born on 19 March 1920.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Cuthbert Hanson Townsend and Hon. Letitia Anne Margaret Barnewall.² He died on 27 January 1956 at age 35.¹
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from City and Guilds College of Art, London, England^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was an engineer with the North-East Electricity Board.¹

     Admiral Cyril Samuel Townsend was born on 28 June 1875.¹ He was the son of Vice-Admiral Samuel Philip Townsend and Emma Maria Bridges.² He married Mary Elizabeth Moseley, daughter of Captain William Moseley, on 30 October 1905.¹ He died on 3 March 1949 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at Stubbington House School, Fareham, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was commander of the H.M.S. Duncan between 1908 and 1910.¹ He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign, as Beachmaster at the West Beach.¹ He was commander of the H.M.S. Constance between 1916 and 1919.¹ He fought in the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.¹ He was Captain of the Gunnery School, Chatham between 1919 and 1921.¹ He was awarded the Commander, Order of the Crown of Italy for services rendered after Messina earthquake.¹ He was Captain of the H.M.S. Resolution between 1921 and 1922.¹ He was Commodore of the Royal Navy Barracks, Portsmouth between 1922 and 1924.¹ He was Head of the British Naval Mission to Greece between 1925 and 1926.¹ He was Rear-Admiral of the Gibraltar between 1927 and 1929.¹ He retired from the military in 1933, with the rank of Admiral.¹ He lived at The Old Rectory, Bishopstoke, Hampshire, England^G.¹
