     Elizabeth Carr was the daughter of Edward Carr and Maria Kough.^2,3 She married Reverend Thomas Uniacke Townsend, son of Thomas Townsend and Martha Uniacke, in 1839.¹ She died in 1876.¹
     From 1839, her married name became Townsend.

     He emigrated to Australia^G.¹

     Richard Hungerford Townsend was the son of Reverend Thomas Uniacke Townsend and Elizabeth Carr.² He married Arabella Jane Denny, daughter of Reverend Henry Denny and Sophia Catherine McGillycuddy, on 16 February 1874.¹ He died in 1922.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He lived at Ardeevin, Queenstown, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Jane Quick is the daughter of John Brannan Quick.¹ She married Edward Denny, son of Venerable Anthony Denny and Catherine Magill, in 1889.¹
     From 1889, her married name became Denny.¹

     Arabella Jane Denny was the daughter of Reverend Henry Denny and Sophia Catherine McGillycuddy.² She married Richard Hungerford Townsend, son of Reverend Thomas Uniacke Townsend and Elizabeth Carr, on 16 February 1874.¹ She died on 13 June 1908.¹
     From 16 February 1874, her married name became Townsend.

     Thomas Henry Denny Townsend was born on 13 April 1876.¹ He was the son of Richard Hungerford Townsend and Arabella Jane Denny.² He married Ethel Mary Studdert, daughter of Major George Studdert and Agnes Waller, on 4 April 1907.¹ He was also reported to have been married on 14 April 1907.² He died on 21 October 1952 at age 76.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was an ophthalmic surgeon.¹ He lived at Merton, Cobh, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Maurice Christopher Maude was born on 18 November 1925.² He was the son of Christopher Hugh Maude and Mary Elizabeth Christiana Macmanaway.² He married, firstly, Venetia Doyle, daughter of William Patterson Doyle, on 20 April 1954.¹ He and Venetia Doyle were divorced in 1963.² He married, secondly, Susan Frances Lepper, daughter of George Lepper, in 1967.² He died on 30 October 1997 at age 71.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps (Territorial Army.)²

     Ethel Mary Studdert was the daughter of Major George Studdert and Agnes Waller.² She married Thomas Henry Denny Townsend, son of Richard Hungerford Townsend and Arabella Jane Denny, on 4 April 1907.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 14 April 1907.² She died on 21 September 1955.¹
     From 4 April 1907, her married name became Townsend.

     Richard Uniacke Denny Townsend was born on 6 August 1914.¹ He was the son of Thomas Henry Denny Townsend and Ethel Mary Studdert.² He married Ursula Yvonne Oakes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Henry Edmund Oakes and Yvonne Emily Shoppee, on 23 March 1943.¹ He died on 4 September 1999 at age 85.³
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was with the British Council in Poland between 1938 and 1939.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Merchant Service and Intelligence Corps.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1945.¹ He was a Master between 1946 and 1964 at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He was Head of the Modern Languages Department between 1964 and 1974 at Portree High School, Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland^G.¹ He lived in 1976 at Glamaig Cottage, Braes, Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland^G.¹
