     Reverend Thomas Townsend was the son of Samuel Philip Townsend and Helena Robinson.² He married Caroline Jeynes, daughter of Sir Edwin Jeynes, in 1814.² He died on 24 March 1860.²

     Agnes Somerville is the daughter of Richard Neville Somerville and Letitia Hungerford.² She married Reverend Horatio Thomas Townsend, son of Commander John Townsend and Eleanor Townsend, in 1845.¹
     From 1845, her married name became Townsend.
