     From 27 December 1883, her married name became Maitland-Heriot.¹

     Kate Grace Maitland-Heriot was the daughter of Sir William Maitland-Heriot and Grace Gilroy Bowman.² She married Robert George Dashwood Thomas, son of Lt.-Col. Charles Dashwood Thomas, on 29 October 1908.¹ She died on 14 July 1968.¹
     From 29 October 1908, her married name became Thomas.

     Lt.-Col. Charles Dashwood Thomas gained the rank of Colonel in the Coldstream Guards.²

     John Bruce lived at Barmoor Castle, Northumberland, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Alice Harley Bruce was the daughter of John Bruce.² She married, firstly, George Walmsley Hodgson before 1902. She married, secondly, Sir William Maitland-Heriot, son of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew, on 25 April 1902.¹ She died on 11 October 1937.¹
     From before 1902, her married name became Hodgson. From 25 April 1902, her married name became Maitland-Heriot.¹

     George Walmsley Hodgson married Alice Harley Bruce, daughter of John Bruce, before 1902.
