     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Yarmouth between 1835 and 1837.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdon between April 1844 and 1873.¹ He was chairman of Lloyds.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.¹
     

     John Baring was born on 14 September 1801 at Lee, Kent, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Baring, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ursula Sealy.^1,2,3 He married Charlotte Amelia Porcher, daughter of Reverend George Porcher, in 1842. He died on 7 April 1888 at age 86.¹
     He lived at Oakwood, Sussex, England^G.

     Charlotte Amelia Porcher was the daughter of Reverend George Porcher.¹ She married John Baring, son of Sir Thomas Baring, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ursula Sealy, in 1842. She died in 1846.^2,3
     Charlotte Amelia Porcher usually went by her middle name of Amelia.^2,3 Her married name became Baring.

     Reverend George Porcher lived at Malden Erleigh^G.¹

     Rt. Rev. Charles Baring was born on 11 January 1807.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Baring, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ursula Sealy.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Ursula Sealy, daughter of Colonel Charles Sealy, on 10 June 1830.¹ He married, secondly, Caroline Kemp, daughter of Thomas Read Kemp and Frances Baring, on 14 April 1846.¹ He died on 16 September 1879 at age 72.²
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1825.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol between 1856 and 1861.¹ He held the office of Bishop of Durham between 1861 and February 1879.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinty (D.D.)² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.¹
     

     Mary Ursula Sealy was the daughter of Colonel Charles Sealy.² She married Rt. Rev. Charles Baring, son of Sir Thomas Baring, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ursula Sealy, on 10 June 1830.¹ She died on 16 June 1840.²
     Her married name became Baring.

     Colonel Charles Sealy was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹

     Caroline Kemp was born circa 1810 at Sussex, England^G.² She was the daughter of Thomas Read Kemp and Frances Baring.^1,2 She married Rt. Rev. Charles Baring, son of Sir Thomas Baring, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ursula Sealy, on 14 April 1846.¹ She died on 9 May 1885.²
     Her married name became Baring.

     Thomas Read Kemp was born on 23 December 1782.³ He was the son of Thomas Kemp.³ He married Frances Baring, daughter of Sir Francis Baring, 1st Bt. and Harriet Herring, on 12 July 1808.⁴ He married Frances Margaretta Shakerley, daughter of Charles Watkin John Shakerley and Dorothy Moreland, in 1832.⁵ He died on 20 December 1844 at age 61 at Paris, France.^5,3
     He lived at Dale Park, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was educated at Westminster School, London, England.³ He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lewes between 1811 and 1816.^5,3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Arundel between 1823 and 1826.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lewes between 1826 and 1837.³

     Charlotte Baring was born on 29 May 1805.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Baring, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ursula Sealy.¹ She married Reverend Henry George Wells, son of John Wells, in March 1833.¹ She died on 23 April 1871 at age 65.¹
     From March 1833, her married name became Wells.¹
