     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Air Force.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.¹

     Maud Isabella Hopkins was the daughter of Reverend Evan Henry Hopkins.² She married Montague George Dashwood, son of George Lionel Dashwood and Avice Frances Anne Part, on 25 June 1903.¹ She died on 6 April 1937.¹

     Sir Henry Thomas Alexander Dashwood was born on 9 July 1878.¹ He was the son of George Lionel Dashwood and Avice Frances Anne Part.² He married Norah Creina Bruce Whately, daughter of Henry Arthur Whately and Hon. Norah Creina Blanche Bruce, on 29 April 1909.¹ He died on 25 May 1959 at age 80.¹

     Letitia Blake was the daughter of John Neville Blake and Jane Frances Veitch.¹ She married E. J. G. Dawson on 22 June 1870.¹ She died on 15 January 1876.¹

     Norah Creina Bruce Whately was the daughter of Henry Arthur Whately and Hon. Norah Creina Blanche Bruce.^2,1 She married Sir Henry Thomas Alexander Dashwood, son of George Lionel Dashwood and Avice Frances Anne Part, on 29 April 1909.¹ She died on 19 November 1948.¹
