     He lived at Loughcrew, Oldcastle, County Meath, Ireland.4 He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.3
