He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1910 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was awarded the Inner Temple in 1911 barrister.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.1 He held the office of Member of the Oxfordshire County Council.1 He succeeded as the 13th Baron Saye and Sele [E., 1603] on 2 February 1937.1
