Fendall Currie was born on 24 November 1841.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick Currie, 1st Bt. and Katherine Maria Thompson.2 He married, firstly, Susan Elizabeth Pears, daughter of Reverend James Robert Pears, on 1 March 1866.1 He married, secondly, Julia Buller, daughter of Frederick Pole Buller, on 28 December 1869.1 He died on 4 December 1920 at age 79.1
     He was a practising barrister.1 He was Commissioner in Oudh.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Cavalry.1
