     Margaret Maria Elizabeth Beckford was the daughter of William Thomas Beckford and Lady Margaret Gordon.¹ She married General James Orde on 15 May 1811.¹ She died on 7 September 1818.¹
     From 15 May 1811, her married name became Orde.¹

     Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner was born on 19 June 1728.¹ He was the son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart.¹ He married Clementina Lockhart, daughter of George Lockhart, 3rd of Carnwath and Fergusia Wishart, on 18 May 1761.¹ He died on 30 October 1778 at age 50 at Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland^G.^1,2
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 6 September 1777 in the 81st Regiment.¹

     Clementina Lockhart was the daughter of George Lockhart, 3rd of Carnwath and Fergusia Wishart.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner, son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart, on 18 May 1761.¹ She died on 31 March 1803.¹ She was buried on 6 April 1803 at Restalrig, Midlothian, Scotland^G.³
     From 18 May 1761, her married name became Gordon.¹

     John Porterfield of Fulwood was a practising Advocate.¹

     Maj.-Gen. John Gordon was born on 8 July 1765.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner and Clementina Lockhart.¹ He married Eliza Morris, daughter of Robert Morris, in November 1810.¹ He died on 26 December 1832 at age 67.^1,2
     He was Colonel-Commandant of the 2nd Brigade, Bengal Cavalry.¹

     Eliza Morris is the daughter of Robert Morris.¹ She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. John Gordon, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. John Gordon of Glentanner and Clementina Lockhart, in November 1810.¹ She married, secondly, James Badham Thornhill in 1836.²
     From November 1810, her married name became Gordon.¹ From 1836, her married name became Thornhill.²

     Robert Morris held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Gloucester.¹

     Lt.-Col. Hon. Lockhart Gordon was born in 1732.¹ He was the son of John Gordon, 3rd Earl of Aboyne and Grace Lockhart.¹ He married, firstly, Isabella Levi, daughter of Elias Levi, on 25 April 1753.² He married, secondly, Hon. Catherine Wallop, daughter of John Wallop, Viscount Lymington and Catherine Conduitt, on 3 October 1770.¹ He died on 24 March 1788 at Calcutta, India^G.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.² He held the office of Judge-Advocate General [Bengal] in 1787.^1,3

     Ray Stephen Carter Monins was born in 1927.¹ He is the son of John Eaton Monins and Margaret Carter.¹
