He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1928 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was a practising solicitor in 1933.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Intelligence.)2 He was Deputy Clerk of Peace and County Councillor, East Suffolk 1947–1971 between 1947 and 1971.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hutchison, of Thurle, Parish of Streatley, Berkshire [U.K., 1939] on 12 February 1960.1 He was Clerk of Peace and County Solicitor, East Suffolk between 1971 and 1972.2
